Manufacturing in The United States

Increases in freight rates along with duties and tariffs have made manufacturing in the United States commercially viable for many products. We have been working with manufacturers in the US since 1995 to produce items from packaging and displays to finished metal, wood, and plastic parts. Through our domestic relationships, we can streamline your manufacturing process from start to finish. In some cases, we are able to combine imported component parts with domestic made parts for final assembly in the US. One challenge with domestic manufacturing is the high cost of tooling and molds. Where applicable, we can produce tooling overseas and ship it to a factory in the US where it can be used for final production. Let us do the research to see if domestic manufacturing will work for you and your product!

Manufacturing in China

Since 2002 One World Sourcing has been helping companies safely and effectively manufacture products in China. Utilizing our offices in Dongguan and Shanghai, we are able to manage your product from concept to finished product. Our project managers in China oversee all phases of production, starting with auditing factories to find the best manufacturing partner to final the QC inspection before the product ships. Despite the recent challenges in China like tariffs and freight issues, China still has many advantages that other countries have yet to overcome. The abundance of resources, friendly manufacturing policies, and a solid infrastructure still makes China one of the top locations for outsourcing if you have the right partner. We have the experience to navigate you through the recent challenges so you can leverage all the advantages that China has over other countries.

Manufacturing in Mexico

Current trade agreements and high tariffs on Chinese made products have made Mexico one of the most favorable outsourcing locations for American companies. Since most manufacturing takes place close to the border, shipping costs and lead times are a fraction of what they are in products produced in Asia. Through our relationships in Mexico, we are able to assist with the manufacturing of a variety of products.

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Industrial and Hardware Products
  • Cut and Sew Item
  • Plastic Injection Molding
  • Retail Displays
  • Wire and Tubular Steel Products
  • Turnkey Manufacturing

Manufacturing in Sri Lanka

Rising labor rates along with political tensions with China has lead many companies to look for manufacturing in other parts of Asia. Since Sri Lanka is a tariff-free zone with low labor costs, it is not unusual to save 40%-50% in comparison to similar products made in China. One of Sri Lanka’s greatest strengths is in cut and sew manufacturing. We have relationships with factories that can produce items like backpacks, handbags, sports bags, totes, and apparel. All at very competitive prices and at a quality level that is demanded of products sold in the U.S. market.

Vietnam has seen an increase in exports to the US, Canada, and Europe by over 20% per year since 2017. This is largely based on their growing manufacturing infrastructure and favorable trade agreements with the US (which includes the exclusion of tariffs.)
